Babysitting FAQs
A: We encourage you to test the babysitters database before joining. To do so, search for a local babysitter in your city or you can click the Test Search for Babysitters button from the Parent Home Page. You will be able to get a feel for the type of information we request sitters to complete during the registration process, and see how many babysitters are qualified in your area.
A: Absolutely. To do so,view what other parents said about this babysitting website or Click on the Home button, and then click on Parent Comments.
A: Registration is free for Sitters. Click here for Babysitter registration It costs $39.95 for a three month membership for Parents, or Parents can select the savings of the one year membership at $79.95. Click here for Parent registration
A: Canadiansitter.ca takes your security seriously, and thus selected to secure your credit card transactions using SSL (secure socket layer) technology. SSL is the industry standard for protecting web communications today. The SSL security protocol provides data encryption, server authentication and message integrity. A: We have had tremendous success with our Post a Babysitting Job option. If you Post a Job and let babysitters come to you, you should get a very good response and generally very quickly. Click Post or Edit a Babysitting Job from the Parent Page. You can also click on Search for a Babysitter to search for sitters in your area. Remember to try neighboring cities as well.
A: There are two ways. Each sitter is given the opportunity to provide two references on their profile. Feel free to contact their references. Secondly, sitters may have feedback given from other parents who have hired them previously. This would be located on the babysitters’ resume and profile. To read feedback about sitters you may select, proceed to their profile and click on View feedback about this sitter at the bottom of the profile. Also review the page Tips for Choosing a Sitter after you have logged in.
A: Babysitters can View feedback about this parent at the bottom of the parents profile.
A: Yes – you have an option to save your search results after any query of the babysitter database.
A: Simply click on the Forgot your password link on the Login Page and your password will automatically be emailed to the same email account that you use to login. If you are still having difficulty, you can reach us at support@canadiansitter.ca
A: Sitters join Canadiansitter.ca continuously. To view our university and college coverage, Follow this College babysitters link or click Sitter Universities / Colleges button located at the top of every page.
A: Yes – absolutely, we appreciate any referrals you give canadiansitter.ca. Follow this Refer a friend to our babysitting website or the Refer a friend icon at the top of each page to submit their name and email address. We will contact them on your behalf. You can also refer a friend from the Parent and Sitter Pages right after logging in.
A: Yes - parents can leave feedback for sitters and sitters can leave feedback for parents. To leave feedback for a member, simply go to their profile and click Leave Feedback at the bottom of the profile.
A: Each student that becomes a member of Canadiansitter.ca has the opportunity to indicate whether they will be available for holidays and for the summer. Canadiansitter.ca will allow parents to search for baby sitters for holidays when you search our database, in our advanced search option within the Search for a babysitter function. Holidays sitter can select are: the summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, and March Break.
A: In order to use Canadiansitter.ca, you must first register. If you have not, click here for Sitter registration or click here for Parent registration to obtain your user name and password.
You also must have your browser security settings set properly. Most computers should be fine but some organizations and universities have higher security settings. To fix the settings in Internet Explorer, do the following: • Go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options. • In the Internet Options window select the Security tab. • From the Security screen pick Trusted Sites. • Click the Sites... button. • Enter http://www.canadiansitter.ca/ in the Add this Web to the zone frame. • Click the Add button. • Click OK until you are back to the main browser.
