Online Baby Sitter Service
Owl-Family Magazine - Online Sitter Service September, 2003
There is little, with the possible exception of a tax audit that provokes as much anxiety in parent as finding good child care. But now, a national online service aims to make that easier. Launched in May 2002 by a mother in Oakville, ON. www.canadiansitter.ca can help parents find a full-time, fully screed nanny or casual babysitter for the occasional night out. It can line up a sitter close to home or find one at a holiday destination. Most of the babysitting candidates are university or college students. Nannies are either early childhood education graduates or very experienced caregivers. For a three-month membership fee of $39.95, parent can access profiles of close to 2,000 sitters; different rates apply to the nanny-finding service.
